What is an Ouija Board and it’s history

According to the Smithsonian Magazine, “Ouija Boards were first created by a Pittsburgh Toy company (others state it was Hasboro) and advertised in February 1891.” This was time of the Spiritualist Movement when many had an interest in talking to their dead loved ones.  Many used the services of Mediums and old seances in their homes or at specific venues. To makes money during this movement. Many religious organizations began to speak against Seances and Spiritualists and deemed the board to be evil. They believed that the board opens communication with Demons. Other’s believed it’s just a tool to talk to spirits.

Is the Ouija Board bad?

In our point of view, Ouija Boards are only communication devices but it’s how you use the boards that can keep you safe or get you in trouble.  When using boards you need to be very specific in who you want to communicate with. If you ask if anyone is there, anyone or anything may respond.  You also need to be very specific when closing out the session. There’s a reason BYE is on the board. You must end the session verbally or whatever you were communicating with may take that as an invitation to stay thus reeking havoc on you and your home.

How to rid a bad Ouija Board

If the board has become an issue, there is specific ways to rid the board of the connection to whatever is causing issues.

After these videos, the board was taken to a wood shop and cut into 7 different pieces.  (Seven in a holy number in Christianity). The pieces were then buried in the woods away from the planchet so it cut off all communication associated with the board.
