K-II/K2 Equipment Review
The K-II/K2 meter appears to make its appearance when the television show Ghost Hunters appears. The K-II/K2 meter was really used by Electricians to determine if wiring was giving off more energy than required.
According to descriptions of the meter on Amazon, “The K2 EMF meter is a sturdy, portable, easy to use, fast sampling Electromagnetic field meter that covers frequencies from 50-20,000 Hz at an accuracy of 5% at 50-60 Hz. The K2 meter is a top gear for ghost hunting. It can also be used for personal safety to alert of high EMF radiation.”
Research by Richard Wiseman of the University of Hertfordshire and and Vic Tandy of Coventry University, suggest that ghosts can be detected at 19 Hz. With their experiments, it appears that the K-II/K-2 Meters used by the average ghost hunter would not have the ability to detect the paranormal.
With the experimentation by Wiseman and Tandy, it is out teams’ opinion that the K-II/K2 is not a good tool to use for ghost hunting or to determine paranormal activity. The only good use for a K-II/K-2 is to determine if there could be possible EMF poisoning or levels in the home.
