Great Lakes Ghost Hunters was called to investigate a single family home in Taylor, MI. The house was built in 1971 and is a Ranch style. This single family home has three bedrooms and one bath. There is also a partially finished basement.
Before 1971 the land this house is located on was most likely farm land. According to a plat map for Taylor, MI for the year 1915, this house was located on a farm that was owned by a farmer named Loukotski or possibly Putnam.
A search of Ancestry.com for this address revealed two previous owners. One looks like the original owners from when this house was built in the 1970’s. The other looks like an elderly woman who passed away in Wyandott in 2002.
Claims:
The occupants of the home have claimed to hear and see several things. One claim is that footsteps are heard in the hallway. The hallway is carpeted. The occupants stated that their dogs will bark at nothing. The hair on the dogs backs will stand up and they will growl. Sometimes this is directed at the basement stairs. Jenna claims to have been downstairs in the basement doing the laundry. No one else was in the house. But she distinctly felt someone or something stand directly behind her and lean forward. Another claim is that some toys have turned on when nobody touched them.
Jenna claimed that in some of the other places she has lived has had several weird encounters. When she was growing up she had night terrors. She hadn’t had a night terror for several years until they moved into this house. She has had three night terrors in four months.
A young cousin to one of the occupants has reacted strangely while visiting the house. The first time this cousin was in the home they wanted to leave. Then a subsequent visit the cousin greeted the “ghost” when she entered, when she leaves the house to go home she said “bye ghost”.
Some of the other claims are of electronics coming on when nobody is near them. The bathroom light will turn on in the middle of the night, someone will get up and turn it off only for it to come back on later. Jenna and Collin claim their bedroom door will open on it’s own, even with a fan on high pointed at the door. The door opens in.
Of all the people who live in the house (Jenna, Collin, Craige or Harlee), Collin is the only one who seems threatened by what is causing these issues. We should point out that Harlee is Jenna and Collin’s daughter and is about a year and a half at the time this report is being written. Craige is Jenna and Collin’s roommate. Collin’s feeling of being threatened has caused him to leave the house when nobody else is home.
One last claim is that two previous occupants of the home have died in the home. Unfortunately, research for this claim has not produced any proof. Further research is needed to prove if either death happened. A search of Newspapers.com revealed nothing for this claim.
Investigation
The following investigators were present: AJ, Jessica, Ryan, Patty, Carrie and Brenda
Equipment: MEL meter, SLS Camera, Digital Recorders, Maglight Flashlights, Ovilus, Dowsing Rods, Motion Census, blue lights, FLIR and video recorders.
We began the investigation gathering basic readings and photos of the house while Ryan interviewed the family. In the back yard multiple investigators picked up high EMF readings. There were also unusual readings near the closet in the babies room. All outlets were tested to make sure the electrical was grounded in the house. The SLS camera was set up and used on the main floor and basement but nothing appeared on the camera.
We used a blue light through the bathroom due to a former resident allegedly falling and dying in the house. We can not determine if the what the light showed came from the current residents or past residents. No other areas lit up in the home showing blood.
We began an EVP session in the living room with the residents. While doing the session, we may have come in contact with the former residents. We had the owners there to let the entities know they were not happy with the activity that was occurring in their home, especially towards the males that occupy the home.

At approximately :10 seconds you will see an anomaly in the hallway as Patty walks in the room with her dowsing rods.
Conclusion
At the conclusion of the investigation, the home was cleanses. A follow up was completed later and residents reported that the activity has changed and everything is better.
